Bartlett is a great small community located in Cook, DuPage and a small part in Kane Counties. The population was 41,000 by the 2011 census and has definitely grown from the original 360 in 1900.  Bartlett was incorporated in 1891 after Luther Bartlett who offered the right of way thru his land to the Chicago and Pacific railroad. The village has retained it's original railroad station built in 1873 in the downtown area.  The commuter station is the Metra Milwaukee West Line.
Bartlett Bike Path System is 19.6 miles and is a favorite with cyclists.

Positive Signs continue in our Northwest Suburban Real Estate Market for the 8th consecutive month. We are moving ahead with recovery here and sales have successfully reached above the 2010 level of closings. For November, Hanover Park Single Family Homes have now reached the number of 2010 closings and Hanover Park Multi-Family are down 31% over 2010.  
For Hanover Park there are still no price gains calculated with foreclosures still leading the way in current sales.  What is promising is that in a few different surrounding markets the average sales prices are now stabilizing.  If all goes well, our next trend will be for … (3 comments)

Northwest Suburban Housing Forecast Inventory up - Sales down.  (that's what you said last month Lyn! There is a large amount of inventory thruout the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago which include Elgin IL homes.  Sellers are competing to make their home standout and enhance their marketability.  Prices have held between 4 to 6% from the listing price over the recent months.
