Yesterday, being April 1st, could have been an excuse as a joke for Rep. Hank Johnson's (D-Ga.) absurdly ridiculous statement about Gaum.
"My fear is that the whole island will become so overly populated that it will tip over and capsize."
But Rep. Hank Johnson was perfectly serious when he addressed Admiral Robert Willard, head of the U.S. Pacific Fleet in regard to a planned military buildup on the Pacific Island of Guam.

Glen Beck shows he's illiterate ..... What is "Oligarhy"?
Beck most probably intended to use the work "Oligarchy" (from the Greek word "few") - "A form of government in which all power is vested in a few persons or in a dominant class or clique; government by the few" (Sounds like a Republican thing yet he intended it for the Democrats)
An English teacher from my school days used to say "If you can't spell a word then don't use it!"

Fellow ActiveRain Blogger - Terry Haugen - summed it up perfectly in a post on 7/8/09.
Palin quit four colleges; she quit her position on the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Committee; she quit her elected position as Mayor of Wasilla.
..... and now she quit her elected position of governor of Alaska.
That's a lot of quitting for a self-proclaimed "non-quitter".

I'm a huge fan of Comedian Bill Maher.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Bill Maher is one of the smartest, wittiest and on-the-mark comedians around. He says it like it is and diesn't mince his words.
Last Friday was no exception when he compared President Obama to Lindsay Lohan: "in the papers a lot but not doing very much."
"This is not what I voted for," Maher said, arguing that Obama has maintained his personal popularity but failed to make real progress on health care, banks, or climate change.
