Snow-birds and Summer Ducks: 8 keys to Surviving an Arizona summer - 06/30/10 10:56 PM
Residents of Tucson, Arizona and vicinity are very familiar with the winter visitors who converge upon our state for a few months during the snowy months of the calendar.  Visitors come from the Midwest, Back East, Alaska - you name it - in the name of escaping snow.  We call these yearly "visitors" Snow-Birds.
And then we have the Arizona residents - that "duck out" during the hottest months and head for the cool ocean shores, the majestic Rockies, and anyplace that doesn't average close to 100 degrees for the three middle months of the year.  Summer Ducks.

But summer … (2 comments)

Some very valuable tips on preventative measures against Identity Theft - 06/30/10 05:05 PM

Never assume it can't happen to you!  This is an excellent post from Ralph Gorgoglione
Copies of your credit cards, license, etc will save so much heartache, if done in advance.
Likewise, it's wise to change your passwords on your social media sites as well!  My husband JUST got his account hacked into by a spammer - hopefully, nothing more serious than a couple of sales pitches went out in his name.  We immediately went on to change the privacy settings.
I do an addition to #3., too.  Your doctor, school reports, etc. always want you to "update" your information … (0 comments)

"It's Not Easy Being Green" But Here's 8 Quick Tips!!
Last Christmas everyone on my list got cloth shopping/grocery bags.  I wrote a silly little rhyming poem to go with about going green.
It was a really enjoyable project, actually.  I made them out of material I’d saved since my children were small and lived endlessly in “jam pants” and lounging pajamas.  It was always fun to pick out materials that matched their personalities, or events in their lives at the time, and I took the idea forward to 2010 with my GREEN bags.

My son in Alaska got … (5 comments)

Buying a New Home in Tucson?  What’s your Out-of-Pocket Expense?
There are many upfront costs associated in buying a new home in Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley and Vail area of Arizona.  Your agent can help you negotiate some of these costs, others are strictly “buyer” responsibility.  Here’s an itemization of some of the items you can expect during your escrow process and the approximate cost to you when buying a new home in Tucson.

Looking for a DEAL of a New Home in Tucson, Marana, AZ?
There's no doubt about it, Tucson is a beautiful city.

I call it a town, really, because it's sprawling, diversified, and folks 'round here find "Tucson Casual" dress attire nice enough for some of the finest restaurants.

I call it a town because, it's a melting pot of cultures and diversity - so many people come here to retire, so many students come to attend U of A.

There's mountain views in every direction.

Sunsets are our badge of honor.

This is too awesome!  I had put little Facebook and Twitter "buttons" on the bottom of my AR profile when setting up, but completely missed this opportunity to add LINKS!  Peggy outlines how to do this in her blog, along with great examples.
I got a little confused on how to add links to My Outside Blog - but finally saw the menu bar along the top.  Clicked LINKS and added away.

Rancho Marana - Buying a New Home in Marana, AZ

Tucson, AZ - CARING Hospital and Emergency Care
My mother recently took two unexpected trips to the emergency room at St. Joseph's hospital here in Tucson, AZ. She had never been admitted in emergency care before and was a bit scared, bewildered, and worried, not to mention - in health crises.
The local papers have, in the past, run feature stories on the poor health care and worse customer service one receives in Tucson medical care. Author Bio: I have been a Realtor for over 7 years, and love finding homes for new people moving to the area. I also enjoy working with first time home-buyers, because my style is very one-on-one. If you are an investor or looking for a new home in the Tucson area, Marana, Oro Valley and Vail area, or wanting to sell your home, I'd love to help. I have experience with REO Foreclosures and short sales, and have earned the SFR and CSSN designation and certification. I'm also a CTA so if you'd like to hear about my love of Tucson, Vail, Marana, Oro Valley and the SW Desert and WHY...I'll share!
