Something about that old house Are you in an older home? Are you about to buy, but not even thinking about an older home? Over the next few weeks I hope to write about some of my thoughts about the good and not so good things on buying old verses buying new. Many families are out house hunting for that perfect home. Today might be overcast and rainy, but that is the best time to be outside weeding. Tim and I take the rainy breaks to look out and feel pleased that after near nineteen years we have worked tirelessly in the yard, making it our very own vacation spot. A valuable lesson in landscaping and utilities was learned today. And might I add a costly one at that! While Clarksville and Montgomery County offer sewer in most areas, Pam and I have always had a septic system and thankfully never had any significant issues with them. Well, that changed today - but it was a decision from approximately ten years ago that caused the issue we face today.

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 11-07 will be offering the Tennessee Safe Boating Class which is sanctioned by the TWRA on 16 November 2013. Many boaters in the Clarksville area are unfamiliar with the law that requires certification as indicated below.
The Tennessee mandatory boating education law is similar to the driver’s license law. Greetings from Clarksville Tennessee! When I was a young(er) man, I was an avid hunter and know what buck fever is indeed. These days (I guess I am getting soft) I would rather spot through a camera lens or while I am drinking coffee with my darling wife in the mornings than to sight these majestic animals through the scope of my 30/06!
Even though they love to ravage my gardens, I must admit they take your breath away this time of year and with rut soon to hit it will only get better!

Can you believe we have Early Bloomers in Clarksville Tennessee? The flowers think it is Spring! When Tim and I were waiting to move into the house just over 13 years ago, we went to a "HOME SHOW" in Nashville at the convention center. There I saw this beautiful statue.... Tim bought it for me and here it sits in the yard. It use to sit under a huge and very old Blue Spruce tree.
