Tampa, FL - City In The Mist Coming back from an African Violet Council Flower Show, last week, we used the Bayside bridge and to our east we could see (just barely) the Tampa skyline. Tampa is a spread-out city rather than a high-rise city so the skyline may not be an impressive as some cities.
However, since this bridge didn’t exist 20 years ago when we drove down to Craig’s parents home every week and we had to take the long way around, I just love this view.

The 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron AKA: the Hurricane Hunters is still flying into tropical storms and hurricanes. What do they do in there when they fly into the storms? They measure wind, direction, velocity and, most important, barometric pressure inside the storm.
