This property was actually nice before it was staged. It was a rental..little rough, but had great potential and good floor plan. The agent thought accessory staging would be enough. I thought No way...we need more!

WHY stage it? It will go from a nice property with potential..priced comparable to a WOW property that every buyer will know will go fast! She needed to sell it fast for the homeowner so she let me do my thing....

Benjamin Moore Smokey taupe puts a fresh look on this cottage style home in Wheaton Illinois. The color highlights the built-in's and wonderful molding. A few updated fixtures and this property is ready for some pizazz!

A few key pieces and now a buyer can fully appreciate the potential this home. Our goal was to compliment not over power.

This is lovely! Wonderful job! I am amazed you got them to change the pink formica - and so happy for all that you did!

We are headed tomorrow to a job where the Agent is recommending "Accessory Staging". We will do our best to get through to all parties a vase on the mantle is not going to help scale a room! Wish us luck.

Robin, Thank you for yor comments. Staging is always secondary if there is a big objection to the sale. In this case the pink (well actually mauve) countertops were certainly not helping the sellers cause. We offer services that help sellers replace items like this at a reduced cost.

If you don't already have relationships with trades people I'd highly recommend it. It surely helps.

Accessory staging can work if the homeowner has nice updated furniture and not much else.. But most of the time that's not the case. I too love that you picked up the warm color of the tile and the blue you introduced looks great! Just beautiful, not wonder some many offers are coming in..
