Things are picking up in Phoenix! From bust to boom?

By

Just saw this article in the LA Times regarding the recent boom in sales in the Phoenix area.  Click here for more info.

This is not too different that what we're experiencing in Palm Springs.  With prices at an all time low, well priced listings are selling often over asking, and often with multiple offers.  I have had two clients lose out on deals this past week alone, for bidding below asking on properties that were just listed- (against my advice.)  Both properties were sold with multiple offers over asking.

I think there are definite signs that things are picking up!

This is so good to hear. We are seeing the same things here in Western Washington as well. As you know we trade a lot of buyers and sellers between our states. Good News-Dinah Lee

This seems to be a shift that's occurring in a lot of different places/different market segments.    Good news, too!    As inventory clears out, we will start to find that price reductions spread, delivered at the point of an offer, start to diminish, too.     If only one good item, and several buyers, the seller may get close to list, now.
