Why yes, my 9 year old daughter Tina did make my sign. I was trying to figure out how I could come up with a nice little sign in front of my business that wouldn't destroy my budget when my daughter asked to help. She drew a picture of what she would do and we went from there. Tina is very gifted when it comes to craft work so I let her do her thing. She borrowed some letters from the movie theater sign to trace around and then she drew the tree (freehand) on another piece of wood. I used a jig saw to cut the tree out. She painted everything and then I climbed the latter and assembled it. Of course for the snooty who frown upon such amature work we do have a professional banner in our window but I gotta tell you I'm proud as heck of my daughters work!
Bob,
I'm sure your daughter was thrilled also and that is more important than anything, she will never forget this.
Bob - what a wonderful thing to do, your daughter's sign looks pretty good from this perspective.
Hugh and Mike,
You know how most mothers say "I hope you have a kid just like you" usually meaning a real pain in the rear? Well lucky for me I got just the opposite. Tina has been one fantastic little helper. She has also helped decorate the interior of my office with her craft skill of latch hook rug making. She has made two thus far, one with a mallard duck that is a Welcome sign and another that says God Bless America with a waving flag. Yup, I'm a very proud daddy.

Bob - you might have a budding graphic artist on your hands. My Mom let me decorate and paint when I was a kid and she was fine with whatever I did. It's a cool thing to let the creativity come out in our kids. Love it!
Tina Rocks!!! You go Gir!!
The sign looks GREAT...yes it is not done by a professional....BUT I am sure your daughter is thrilled you are using it!!
(It DOES look nice!!)
May the Lord continue to bless your family with your fatherly heart!!!

Bob - This is a good sign, and I think it's great that your daughter was able to create it. It looks just fine. If I am ever able to start my own brokerage, I might employ my daughter to create my sign as well.
