Alexsandra,
Looks like a neat little place. You've got so many unique places in the city, I just love-em.
Hello Alexsandra, this looks quaint and inviting -- must be New York, as the seating does not face the street? John
Pretty picture, please do tell more about it. Where and how was the food?
I so love the colors on this building. thats what I want to do when I retire...own a little quirky store.. with cool colors
Alexsandra,
You are traveling a lot these days. So where in N.Y, is this rad looking place.
Steve
Lynda -There are so many neat places in NYC - one of the fun things to do when I visit is to search them out.
John - You've created a puzzle for me -- seating does not face the street means NY? I am trying to think of a restaurant where the seating does face the street, and can't think of one here in Portland. I AM going to look though and in the meantime- Can you give me an example?
Lourdes - As I recall it was a Sunday morning in December and it was closed. I know I didn't eat there though. It was the color that grabbed my attention.
Konnie -- Wouldn't that be fun though? Would yours be a bookstore, gifts and cards, odds and ends or all of the above?? I loved the colors - blue and yellow being a combination I particularly love!
Steve - sorry to say, it was not a recent trip! I was reorganizing photos yesterday and came across it -- just thought I'd post it for the colors. Do have a trip to France planned for the end of Sept though -- and will post a few photos of that trip.
Crystal - that sounds like me. I sometimes choose a restaurant just because I like the looks of it! Well, I do check the menu too.
Hello Alexsandra, I'm told that people watching is a Parisian pastime and thus, the sidewalk seating is such that the diners can take better advantage to view the passersby. I've looked at images that Google pulls up for cafes in Paris, and most of the people that are seated are indeed facing the street (i.e., if two people are dining together they will sit side-by-side and look out to the street!). John
Alexsandra,
So it would seem. Very nice picture to capture the tone and mood of this little eatery. :)
Steve
John -- thanks for the explanation. The custom makes sense doesn't it! I'll check it out when I am in Paris later this year -- and post a photo of a real Parisian cafe!
Steve - really did look like one - if you didn't read the English signs! Thanks for the nice words too.
Alexasandra this little place looks so inviting. I love trying new places when I visit the city.
Jennifer -- I do as well. I'llhave to go back to this place as it was closed --that is if I can remember where it was!
I love outdoor cafés, which I guess is why I like to be south of Interstate 10. They might not be Parisian, but they are outdoors under Mother and Father Nature's beautiful skies.
Alexsandra, I love the little bistros of New York. And you will LOVE Paris, I had a wonderful time while I was there--it's an absolutely beautiful City!
