Well,
I got tired of reading some of the responses in Maureen's blog post regarding rankings between AR and REW. It became too much of a this place is better than that place debate instead of a healthy discussion amongst adults so, I decided that I still needed to vent a bit about it and I decided this would be a good place for the post. For those of you who aren't caught up on her blog or don't feel like reading 60 comments, I'll sum it up. I posted a question in the REW real estate forum regarding featured listings here at AR and how they are achieved and in the insuing conversation, I made the comment that my blogs rank higher on REW than they do here as they relate to Google. This comment (on a different forum) spun out of control as you can see from the comments on Maureen's post.
You know what the bottom line is here? AR and REW are different. I use both. I like both. They are different though, that's for sure. There are definitely some cossovers, like myself who enjoy using both blogging platlorms. Some however, don't seem to be open to trying new things and that's fine too. Just don't knock what you don't know...It's much better to ask questions and learn to use what works to get your message out to consumers, unless that's not what you are trying to do. My guess, however, is that we are blogging for the most part because we feel like we have something to say that will be helpful to consumers and to further our online marketing. Blogging on multiple platforms helps. I have my own Atlanta Real Estate Blog hosted on my domain for my website as well.
