The number of residential sales in 2009 (361), year-to-date, is lower than any of the previous years in this report (2004 through 2009) and, as previously reported, our inventory of homes for sale (absorption rate) is, well, out of control. Too many homes for sale, too few buyers.

  • 1,304 active listings (Average listing price = $350,980)
  • 22 listings in the MLS noted as Foreclosures
  • Absorption rate (based on 41 sales per month) = 32 months

Hi Susie, I suspect that by the time the market improves to the 2005 and 2006 levels you will be well intigrated in other parts of the country. How many Real Estate professionals work this area. I there are only a few handfulls, these sale numbers could still work. Otherwise ??
