rapids #1

These are some of the beautiful rapids I saw in Glacier National Park and Olympic National Park in September of this year.  It was chilly up there (at least compared to Texas where I'm from).

waterfall

This was a very unique waterfall that caught my eye.  It was near the top of Hurricane Ridge in Glacier National Park.  It looks manmade or at least part of it looks like it was assisted by humans.

Lake

This beautiful spot is Bowman Lake.  It was very tranquil and quiet.  There were warning signs all over the hiking trails about watching for Black Bears, so we didn't hike too far.  This lake in Glacier National Park is only accessible on a gravel road, but it is worth it.  Be careful on the blind curves, or you might have an accident in your car.

Hey Liz

What a truly beautiful place. I believe my wife visited the park but I have yet too.   One day.....

It was absolutely beautiful Trey.  And it snowed on us at the top of Hurricane Ridge.  I have the best luck getting snowed on at the National Parks when I visit.  I'm sure all the people from up north think the snow is a pain, but I love it since it only snows in Houston once every 8 or so years.

Have a good one.

If you got to Olympic National Park and Glacier National Park all in one month, you had a great month. Hurricane Ridge, though, is over in Olympic National Park rather than Glacier National Park. Olympic National Park is my #1 of all time, just barely beating out Yellowstone National Park.
