Mike some of those would make fabulous black and white or sepia shots...you should mess around in picnik with that.
Melina,
Sounds like a picnic to me!
Actually, I hadn't even thought of that. Thanks!
I'm a fan of black and white/sepia photography. The ones of the Mill (?) on the river would be great shots in BW. I think.
Wow. Great photo shoot, Mike. You have a wide variety of housing/commercial buildings along the lakes. I was curious about that two story, boarded up weather beaten house on the edge of the water toward the front of the slide show(not the mill toward the end). Will that be demolished or saved?
Bruce,
Thanks!
That old two story mill is a centerpiece at Wake County's Historic Yates Mill Park.
It has since been nicely restored.
Shot that on a winter's day visit a couple of years ago.
Thanks, Mike I will check out that link. So good to know it was restored.
Mike - Those are not only wonderful photos, that's a great slide show presentation as well! Thanks for sharing it!
Myrl,
Thank you!
And credit to Flickr for providing a super-easy slide show solution.
Mike, your state of North Carolina has many, many beautiful bodies of water. Your slides do justice to the beauty that they emanate.
Sharon,
It would be easy to specialize in just shooting photos around water almost anywhere in North Carolina.
Beautiful photo's, Mike. When we come to our senses (hopefully before our last brain cell freezes) we'll retire to our little spot on the water near Oriental.
Mike I truly enjoyed your photos, but most especially the old barn or mill - that is my kind of scenery
Thanks, Jim. You know, Fuquay Varina has a LOT of scenery to sharpen your skills!
Mike - that is a really nice set of photos. One of these days I need to take a break from working and enjoy some of the many beautiful water attractions in our area. Thanks for sharing!
