Happy New Year Everyone...... My eyes are crossed trying to search some clever, funny, unusual resolutions on Google search. I just couldn't find that diamond in the rough to share....maybe it is because it has become a ......not so important task....maybe good intentions...but you know what they say about ....good intentions.

Is it a waste of time?.....Have you felt the need to set those new goals and commitments for the new year?

In my search, I found  some fun facts about resolutions and some statistics...was I surprised....yes..

  • 40 to 45 % of Americans make at least one resolution
  • most popular are weight loss, exercise more or quit smoking
  • also popular money management and debt reduction

now here are the surprising stats

  • 75% kept their resolutions past the first week
  • 71% past the 2 weeks
  • past 1 month 64%
  • last 6 months 46%

It is said in my research that 67% of the people will make 3 or more resolutions for the new year.

Let see...

Maybe these statistics deserve some attention.  Could it be possible that if we work out a well planned blue print and follow it with intensity and dedication, we could increase our business, reach our potential and find the cutting edge to a happy successful real estate career.as well as a balance life that is worth living.?....

Hey this sound like a good concept......something to give serious thought too....it just may overcome what we have all experience in the past....time for a New Year filled with New Hopes and Dreams....a new road map to excellence in life and our profession

My New Years Resolution......." Being the best I can be"

Now your turn ...maybe your resolution will inspire a " waste of time  believer "......

Hi June, I really enjoyed the video and song. I tend t think that it's a good idea o at lest stop and evaluate ourselves and make an effort to make changes. At least there is this time, once a year when folks at least make some effort to do so. I guess I am an optimist at times  but even if the majority don;t keep their resolutions, maybe they will next year and at least we all have a chance to start again.

Although I am sometimes a cynic,I think this Christmas season has been so good that I am looking at things with a more positive attitude. June i hope the season has be good for you too my friend, it's been a real pleasure getting to know you! Have a great week!

I've never made a New Year's Resolution. I know it won't work. When I need to do something, I do it right away, while I'm in determination mode. If it's more difficult than that, I pray until I feel strong enough to tough it out. And when we're on God's time, who knows when that will be =)

June -  I've made New Year's Resolutions over the years, yet rarely stuck with them the way they properly deserve.  I suppose taking a step back and re-evalutating one's self is rarely a bad thing.  2009 didn't happen to be the most glorious of years for me, other than Jennifer moving in.  So, may 2010 be a rocking year.

... and those Steelers are still hanging on to hope ...
