New Year Resolutions...Why Aren't We Doing The Things We Always List?

Year after year as New Year's hits, a pencil and paper mental list gets formulated.

Especially designed for a maine small town paradenew and improved you.

But the items on the list seem to appear again and again with a few new comers drifting in and out depending on the year. So if the resolution is made, what keeps you from the follow up.

The number one resolution is usually spending more time with family this coming year 2010. And a close second is being more physically fit.

Or to streamline your life to be happier, healthier or something bottom line to make a new and improved, be the best you can be. What is keeping us from using the gym membership that folks flock to but then ignore after January comes and goes? No time? And the stairmaster, exercise treadmills or cycles that end up in the rec room, invariable when I check the mileage in homes we sell, there have few miles showing. If I was looking for excercise machines, I would never buy them new for top dollar. They are plentiful among us, many from folks that suffered heart attaches, strokes or just decided to lose the poundage and paid top dollar for brand new exercise equipment. Is it individual willpower and desire wane without another exercise partner, expensive program to keep us honest, motivated?

Here are some famous new years quotes to consider this New Years 2010. Make the time available that is keeping you from acting on, following thru on the New Year' resolutions and act on them with a vengeance, determination ...or don't.

I think if you believe life is 10% the events, people in it and 90% the way we react to those events, people, maybe control on reactions should be on the list. Don't you think so many misunderstandings happen because of emotion, reaction and many times the wrong conclusion?
