The End Of A Perfect Day
Christmas 2009 was a wonderful time for me. I spent it with my family at my Mom's in San Diego where I was grateful for a bit of warmer weather. Here in Colorado, we had the first white Christmas in a long time, but it was bitterly cold, as it has been off and on for sometime. The Christmas holiday was spent eating, playing Pictionary, eating, going on a whale boat excursion (more on that later), eating, going to the San Diego Zoo, eating, and visiting with friends.
On Christmas evening, after all that eating, a walk seemed to be kind of a good idea, (ya think?), so I went down to the J Street Marina in Chula Vista. I may have seen 4 or 5 other people, most walking their dogs. It was very peaceful and quiet. As the sun was setting, I was drawn to the silhouettes of the trees against the blue background of the bay, the blue of the upper portion of the sky, and the band of orange sunset.
It was the end of a perfect day.
I hope your Christmas was as nice as mine was, and I wish for you a happy,
healthy, and prosperous New Year!
