It's impossible to ask for rate quotes from a few lenders and compare unless you ask all of the lenders for a rate quote at the same exact time. If your quotes are within an hour the rates could have changed so trying to accurately compare is impossible. To get an idea of where rates are headed, watch the bond market and track mortgage backed securities.
