Thankfully after a few years of a collapsed Real Estate market we are starting to finally see the tides turning slightly. I admit this is not a giant leap upward, but hey Rome wasn't built in a day right? Here in our boutique style La Quinta office we have experienced a shift that we are welcoming. Clients are back out looking, and serious. No longer are the looky loos sitting on the fence, people are writing offers. Whether the offers are accepted or not does not matter, it is just exciting that offers are being made. For so many months people were to scared to commit to writing an offer. Now many investors are buying a few houses at a time and this is causing the market to begin the cycle back up.
With the Canadian dollar at such a high value right now our Canadian friends are in town and on the phone daily. Many of our deals in escrow currently are Canadians who are investing their dollar in America's Real Estate. We have several Canadians coming to town, ready to write an offer or two and many are cash buyers. The ones who are not, are able to get some great financing here in the desert through local lenders who understand the Canadian dollar.
Do we owe our Real Estate upswing to our Canadian neighbors? Did they see the advantages before we did? Regardless, i am just so happy things are selling and looking forward to a more stable economy for all.
