There are 2 main reasons for Canadians to buy real estate in La Quinta and Palm Springs. If you are a Canadian, parity of the two currencies, United States and Canadian, could be one of them. Canadians like to have an edge on the fluctuation on the currencies as they change year to year. Bank accounts and credit card accounts in both countries are even better with home appreciation and currency improvement on the the appreciation.
Prices of real estate in La Quinta and Palm Springs are lower they have been in 8-10 years so now is a great time to buy. Also, United States interest rates are low and there are lots of good homes available to buy.

If I had the funds available I would be there in a heart beat. I know the dollar is very close to par right now and I have been looking down there for a while. I know there are lots of deals to be had and if you have the money, do it.

You only need about $30,000 or even less for a downpayment and you are in the game! It is a good way to start. We are happy to pay referrals so send your friends and relatives and you will have a place to stay. We do rentals for alot of our Canadian homeowners so they have money coming in when they are not here to use the home. We even rent the homes during the summer.
