Hi Joanne. Neither, I think the chickens are asking her (and hoping for a handout). Kauai is sometimes known as the "Chicken Isle".

Chickens in the State Park? How strange! Makes my little squirrel look pretty normal!
Hi Stephanie. Chickens are everywhere on Kauai, there is no escaping them. There are those who love them and I believe those who are "plugged in" know where to go for cockfights. I'm not into that and would prefer your squirrels who are much less noisy.

Hi Toula. You either love 'em or hate 'em but it's bad karma to run them over with one's car. Feeding is fine though :-)
Do you have Chick-Fil-A over there? For some reason this made me think of those cows that remind us to Eat More Chicken!
Hi Ann. No, we don't have that on Kauai and not on Maui either. We do have cows though.
I have heard that the chickens are really get out of hand over there! Now I can see for myself.
Hi Georgina. It takes a few months to tune out the crowing so it doesn't wake you in the middle of the night. Maui's turn is coming so be ready.
BTW, the lady was NOT feeding them but the chickens were hoping.
