Case of mistaken identity in Searcy Arkansas. That is not a furry fiend; it is Nutsy!

On the front page of our Searcy Daily Citizen today was this picture of a kindly gentleman holding a cage with a lovely squirrel.  The newspaper took liberty and called the squirrel a furry fiend!  Imagine!  A furry fiend!

I looked closely and feel pretty sure it is my godson Nutsy, the Washington Certifried Home Inspector who works for Steven Smith in Bellingham WA.  Nutsy is caught here while trying to find my house.  He had no intention of going into a strange attic and getting caught in a cage!

He probably got off at the wrong bus stop or if he was being shipped parcel post he was delivered to the wrong address.  He probably had a suitcase full of his outfits, too, and they may be lost.  He must be mortified to find himself in this predicament.  So I'm signing off this blog and go over to see if I can't set him free and feed him a good meal in Searcy Arkansas.

We've got two squirrels that are driving us nutsy right now.  Got a cage but they have been too smart for that.  Even found multiple ways to get through our soffet and get into the house but we're working on it!!

Barbara, Nutsy probably just stopped by a warm attic to chew on some wiring on the way.

Smart man that Dale Martin. Uses a trap and knows how much damage Nutsy will cause.

Celebrate state of Washington! Maybe Nutsy will NEVER return if we keep Dale Martin in control. heheh

Barbara, I think that it might be time to get Nutsy one of those little microchips.  He's been doing a whole bunch of traveling lately with lots of opportunity to get lost!

Ron Tarvin, squirrels like my godson Nutsy are harmless.  You must have some really good tasting wiring!

Charles......be nice.

Kate, I've said before.  You need to get that sweet baby out of the Kruel Kate's blog picture.

Charles, now you are shouting!  And not being nice!!!  You're just jealous cause Nutsy likes me better than he does you.  So is Kate.

Patricia, have you invited him to DC for a little visit?

Barbara, you should adopt the Colorado Bobcat that I told you about. Nutsy would then have a nice playmate when he comes to visit you in Searcy.

Godmother,

I am now home, no thanks to my detractors. I really so need for all of the fuss. Now you know why I am having so much of a hardtime finding your house.

Godson

Barbara,

Nutsy is still so rattled he got his photo wrong above. Between his upset and proxy errors here in the rain the poor boy is fit to be tied.

Godmother,

In all seriousness, are you sure that is not a groundhog?

James Q!  I expected better of you.  You know you secretly admire my godson!

James D, you should train that dog and he'd be famous just like my godson.

Nutsy Wallenda!  Are you telling me that the photo is NOT you????  You did not come to Arkansas to visit me?  You did not get caught in that trap?  Truth is, I don't know whether to be glad or sad.  I tromped around all over the woods where the kindly gent turned out who I thought was you and called and called and you never showed up!  I have to give this problem some thought...........

See? I told you Nutsy called me. Some hooligan stole his cell phone while he was picking flowers for you. He wanted directions to your office. Poor thing must have gotten waylaid before he made it. What a horrible man, putting Nutsy in a cage like that and then dumping him in the woods. And what happened to his basket of flowers? Did this man take them and give them to his wife, pretending he picked them himself?

It is a horrible world, when poor Nutsy is treated so rudely by so many. I am happy to hear he made it home. Perhaps he hasn't had the courage to talk about this horrible ordeal yet, that is why even Charles doesn't know he had left Washington State.

And Jim Q., here I thought you were such a good guy. I am saddened by your lack of consideration for Nutsys feelings. He is, after all, in the same profession you are in. Do I detect a hint of jealousy? Nutsy is nothing for you to worry about, he doesn't live in CT so I can't give HIS name out to homebuyers needing a home inspection. (yet).

I say, Nusty S. Wallenda for President!

Andrea, finally!!!!  A friend to help me with Nutsy....poor Nutsy....who has been so badly mistreated.  Mr. Q really is a pretty good fellow and secretly loves Nutsy but those others don't have a charitable thought.

Barbara, I have loved Nutsy since the day I met him here in the 'rain! And I see how badly he is treated by a few. It makes me wonder what they are like in person, if you know what I mean.

As far as Jim Q. goes, I know him. I am so upset that he is siding with the camp that smears Nutsy's good name. You think you know someone. I do hope that he secretly loves Nutsty, I can find out where he lives .... if we have to go that route. I can send a few of Nutsy's cousins over, the New York Gang, to terrorize set him straight if need be.

Andrea, we have room for a godaunt to Nutsy.  Together we'll make sure he grows up to be moral and a very outstanding citizen.

I feel very sure Jim Q is persuadable.  The New York Gang of Nutsy's relatives might just camp out in his yard for a few nights.  He'll see how nice they are and he'll become honest with his love for Nutsy.
