Real Estate in 2010 is starting off like 2009 complete with all of it's challenges. As a real estate professional though, who puts in lots and lots of hours, when I feel like the stress of those long hours is getting the better of me, I stop for a break and seek out music. It helps to recharge my batteries and along the way, I found Britain's X Factor musical talent show and it's 2009 season winner.

A young 18 year old from Great Britain is now taking the musical world by storm. His name is Joe McElderry and I think when you give a listen, you will agree that this young new star is no ordinary singing talent.

So in this blog post, I wanted to share something else with you besides real estate. I love real estate but I also appreciate wonderful musical talent. Take a little break from all things real estate and recharge your own batteries and make your own judgment about this new young talent but I do think you will agree that a Star is Born. As real estate professionals , I think we can all enjoy this young man's hope for tomorrow as inspiration for our own careers and future.

Good stuff William.....I had not seen this singer, he is WONDERFUL. I'm looking forward to X-Factor here next season. After, what is it, 8 seasons - American Idol might have run it's course, but I watch because of the kids.....it means so much to them.

Hi Gail,

These talent discoveries are excellent no matter which program they are connected with. In a robust world of musical talent, it is wonderful to find and see the new talent that will take it rightful place. I share your thoughts though on AI. I do think as a program it has run it's course. Needs and overhaul in it's production. I think Simon who is so on target with his commentary on what it takes to make it in the industry today, saw the writing on the wall and opted out for bigger and better.

I tried to leave a comment earlier but I keep getting just proxy errors . Hopefully it is working again. I think this man is going to a major recording artist, don't you. At 18 and this good is amazing.

William - sorry to chime in so late - you are absolutely right, he is incredibly talented - is the British season over and did he win? With this season of AI, Simon may not be musically talented but he knows the music industry very well. BTW, Simon in a suit?
