The scenery and homes of Mt Helix in La Mesa CA-- both are always a pleasure to enjoy. Over the span of a century, almost every type and style of home has been built here in this green, eclectic neighborhood. There are ultra modern styles, colonials, brick homes,  contemporary wood and glass designs, rustic cabins, and Spanish and Mediterranean houses, all nestled among the trees and granite boulders of hilly Mt Helix, on the eastern edge of La Mesa CA. Some even have smaller guest homes or cottages that were either the original home, or built more recently to accommodate visiting friends and relatives, or are used as a getaway retreat for the owners.

You can turn right on Grossmont Blvd and right on Wister and tour the homes of the Grossmont Artists Colony, or stay on Fuerte, and turn right on any one of several streets which wind up to the top of Mt Helix, go to maps.google.com and search for Mt Helix CA 91941. Don't miss the top of Mt Helix, with its sweeping 360 degree views of the entire county from the beaches to the mountains to Mexico. El Granito Drive, off Grossmont Blvd, was the first street completed in the new Mt Helix Subdivision created by Ed Fletcher and Bill Gross back in the early part of last century. Even though these two developers were initially ridiculed at the time, they believed in this  breathtaking area and stuck with their plan-- and today this community is one of the most well-loved in all of San Diego county. Come visit us and you'll see why!
