This Saturday (April 24) at 5:00am the 21st annual Zane Grey Highline Trail 50 mile run commences. Experienced runners from all across the United States will trek over some of the most difficult and diverse country from Pine to Christopher Creek in what is one of the most strenuous and challenging endurance races in the country. The first rule of participating in the race is, of course, no whining. But that is not to say it is the most important, which is the one that demands everyone to have a good time!

The Highline Trail ages more than a century old. It's beginning dates back to early settlers and pioneers, when they blazed trails below the Mogollon Rim to connect their homesteads and provide means of travel that were easier to access and traverse. This beautiful, scenic, historic trail has been preserved with utmost care by our Forest Service and many dedicated volunteers.
