For the rest of the kind readers who have stopped by, if you are planning to relocate to the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington DC

Dunn Loring Village, Vienna VA

....you should consider Vienna Virginia....a place you've never heard of...yes it is one of those best kept secrets. Located just 15 miles outside Washington DC on Metro's Orange Line, Vienna still has a small town feel without the center-less, soul-less mass tract home funk.

Straddling Tysons Corner (the biggest shopping area in the state and the 12th largest business district in the US) you could go out to eat every night for six months and not hit the same place twice.

Vienna was ranked #4 best place to live by Money Magazine in 2005 partly because of the never ending job opportunities abounding in and around our area. Located in the second highest median family income county in the country (Fairfax) and just 12 miles from the Route 28/ Dulles Airport high tech corridor, you could change jobs every day for the rest of your mortal existence and still not scratch the surface.

Welcome home to Dunn Loring VillageO

Steve, as usual you've done a great job again with Dunn Loring Village.  It's funny, reading such an informative post and the one thing that struck me was your comment about so many places to eat.  Being from Chicago, I'm used to many, many diverse restaurants, but my current location is lacking so much for quality and diversity in that arena.

Nick,

I watch a lotta food network shows and you are right on with world opinion..... Chicago's melting pot  puts it at the top of almost anybody's list of great places to go. Personally I have only eaten at the Chicago airport sad to say.
