OK, for those of you who don't know by now. I love my community. I love North Park. I moved to North Park in 1997 from Pacific Beach and I've never looked back since. North Park is one of those thriving redeveloped communities that's becoming one of the hippest and happening places to hang out.
For those of you not familiar with North Park, it sits just east of Hillcrest on the other side of Park Boulevard.
One thing I've noticed lately are all the truly fantastic North Park Homes for sale. popping up on the MLS. I hate to admit it but I started the trend when I listed a tiny little tic tack over on Florida Street. It's a little 2 bedroom one bath craftsman. Get this--it's only 496 square feet. Now, when I got the listing, I thought what a cool house. I could totally live there. It's tiny yes, but doable for a single person or a couple without a lot of stuff. Now, when I threw it up on the MLS I really wasn't expecting a ton of interest because of the size and the fact that there is no parking. Guess what? I got nine offers on the house. It was crazy. So I know what you're thinking... what's the downside to this house? No parking! That's right, if there is one draw back to the house there is no parking. Street parking only!
Now, I have to be honest with you. I too am looking for a house and parking is one of those things I want but I'm starting to rethink that. Could I live without parking as long as I have one of these North Park homes for sale
So that got me thinking, how many of these little pearls exist? I did a little digging. Turns out, there are 181 single family detached one bedroom one bath homes in North Park under 650 square feeet! Crazy right? I had no idea. Most of these North Park Gems were built in the 20's and they are scattered all over the community. Who knew?
So now, I'm determined to help all my condo hunting clients find one of these North Park homes for sale.
