WE WANT RAINCAMP, WE WANT RAINCAMP!!!

It is time that we have a RainCamp in New England.  And my vote goes for Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, Newport in RI, or if it is in the Fall then a location in New Hampshire or Vermont during the foliage season would be good.

Okay New England, let's get a movement!

It got attention back in the 60's when I was in college and students were protesting the war in Viet Nam, and also for the Equal Rights amendments for racial equality.

Well, fellow New England ActiveRainers, let's start our own cry. WE Want Rain Camp!!Collectively, there are almost 9,000 ActiveRain members here in New England.

As an ActiveRain member I made the trip to New York City in January to attend my first RainCamp, and it was a great experience.

But that wasn't enough for me, so when the opportunity presented itself, I made the trip to RainCamp in Washington DC as well. As I was making the drive down, better than half the anxiety was on the opportunity to meet my fellow rainers. I already knew that the information itself was worth the trip, but to attend a Family Reunion, as Gerry Michaels so appropriately called it.

We have some great meeting locations in Hartford Ct and the surrounding areas, Worcester MA also has some outstanding locations as does Boston, MA. If you want a taste of New England, then there is definitely Providence or Newport, RI

Nashua NH, also is convenient, as is Portsmouth, NH. It's a bit of a stretch, but Portland, Me also knows how to host an event. Vermont is tiny but Rutland should also get some consideration.

How cool would it be to have RainCamp New England with the fall colors and the Red Sox leading the AL East?

I know that Canada HAS to be on the list of considerations. Toronto will get it's day, it's too large a town not to.

Does anybody else in New England feel the same Way?

This is a public post designed to re-blog and get attention in New England

Not in New England, but I can hear the chant from there all the way to Southeast Oklahoma... 9000 members chanting WE WANT RAINCAMP is a lot of thunder afar off!

Steve, there are several locations in the New England area that would make great spots for a RainCamp, and they could not go wrong with picking any of them.

Judi, who know you might get the urge to make the trip :)

We would love Raincamp in New England! Especially in the fall, we have heard so much about the foliage there. We would have to make the trip to meet all our buddies George, it would be so exciting!

George.. and ED... I think RainCamp in the NorthEast is LOOOOOONGGGG over due.  I even sent an email to Bob Stewart requesting a time here in New England.  There are a lot that could not make it to New York, and I'm sure there are some from Canada (Al and Peggy Cunningham) that would like to go too.

George,

You guys deserve to have RainCamp over that way. Membership there is strong enough to support one, so just make some noise and they'll listen.

New England in the fall is beautiful. (I still have autumn leaves that my grandmother sent me from Vermont back in the 70's.) RainCamp in the east would be great.
