If you are sneezing, coughing, watery eyes, evening excessive snoring, materials and/or pets in your home could be part or all of the cause. We know mold is very common in various forms. How many of us have ever had a mold test done on our own home? Maybe now is the time to check this out and start an annual or bi-annual test.
Dust mites are a key factor also. Some recommendations for dust mites protection is special covers for furniture cushions and pillows. Also, it is recommended to wash all sheets, towels and bed covers in 120 degree or higher water at least once a week.
Certain cleaning materials can leave residue throughout the home and also cause reactions in many people. There are organic materials available now at little or no extra cost.
Plants and flowers, even dried arrangements, are big carriers or allergens. Changing these often will help.
Food also carries alot of irritating substances - especially fruits and vegetables left out of the refrigerator for more than a few hours. Be sure to rinse off all food well before serving or cooking.
Another good idea is to have your tap water purified. At least get your water tested each year for purity.
Use the garbage disposal as much as possible for leftover food. Food Sitting in a trash can for even a few hours can casue many organisms to grow and spread.
