SORRY!......that's not the case here

What we have here ladies and gentleman is a moldy home.  That's Right......MOLD!

I am not an expert, I cannot tell you what type of mold...but I know mold when I smell it.  And you can definately smell it in this home.

What you do have though is a 3 bedroom 1 bath bi-level on a 100 x 100 lot on a quiet street.  Mold is not the end of the world.  There are proven methods to remediate mold.  Leaks can be repaired.  Water intrusion can be over come.  And Moldy homes can become Mold Free.

203 franklin clayton njIt takes a certain type of person to tackle a project like this.  The upside is that this home is being offered for sale for $109,900.   It is a foreclosure.

The seller is entertaining  minimum offers of $87,920.

The good news is that comparable homes in the neighborhood have sold for an average price of $157,000 during the last 2 months.

Your caption made me think of a real estate buyer calling, dropping in and asking "Hey, got any good swamp land for sale..the bigger the better!" Your moldy images made me smell the musty air, think about how unhealthy the places are with mold and little kids breathing it in.

Every cloud has a silver lining.  In this case if you had the know how it could work out.  Do you think it would take 20K to fix the mold issue?

Leander, you're absolutely right when you wrote "mold isn't the end of the world". There are proven effective methods to rehabilitate houses with mold problems. Depending on the severity, the cost might not be as high as people would believe at first glance. The stigma is hard to beat sometimes though.

Leander - I love the honest representation.  The house itself actually looks like it has great bones.  and you are right, solve the water problem and you can easilly solve the mold problem

I hope you have a great 4th of July weekend.

Andrew - I am one who is very sensitive to mold. So I dont spend much time in this house.  If I have a home that is covered in mold, I will stay outside with my clients children.  I would never allow my kids or anyone else's into this situation.

Kellie - I am not really sure how much it would take to remediate the problem.....$20K is a good guess.

Rob & Malcom - You guys get it and understand

Everyone have a great weekend
