More shots from my recent stay at Pend Orielle Lake (about an hour and a half from Spokane).  We left Bottle Bay on approximately a 20 minute boat ride into town for happy hour at Coldwater Creek, and to get a bite to eat.  It was a beautiful afternoon for sailing as you can see from this shot taken from my friend's inboard...

Sail boats near the City Beach at Sandpoint Idaho.

It's a "no-wake zone" and they will write you a ticket!  Although this day I saw several boaters leaving a wake.  I don't know what the fine is, but who needs a ticket, plus it's not courteous to your fellow boaters...That's the old Power House in the background.  A few years ago someone had opened up a fun dance club in there and the owners had this great idea to bring DJ's in from all over the country!  It wasn't the money, but the lake, I was told, that attracted them to come up and bring big city music with top act names for dancing at Sandpoint.

As we were pulling into port I snapped a shot of the progress on the bridge for the US-95 road construction project.  The highway is a major corridor for the United States in terms of freight shipments from Canada to the United States and visa-versa.  It's also a major connection linking North and South Idaho.

The "Spud" sign serves as a quick reminder what State you are in!

This is Justin who works Happy Hour behind the bar at Cold Water Creek.  It's a terrific place for wine tasting and features a wide selection of wines from all over the world but an especially nice collection of Northwest wines including those from Walla Wall and Columbia Basin.

Wine Server

Look at all of the Wines!

I had a glass of Merlot from Walla Walla...I wish I could remember the name and I should have bought a bottle to take back with me...it had a wonderful pallet and a delightful finish.  Anymore, you can't go wrong with a good Washington red and if you aren't an expert on wines like me, the staff are always helpful in finding the perfect wine for you.

Artistic setting...

Finally I wanted to show a picture of the interior of Cold Water Creek in Downtown Sand Point because it's such a warm setting and particularly i the Winter time after a fun day of Skiing at Schweitzer, the fire and a nice glass of wine with some cheese goes so good...and so relaxing!   Sandpoint Idaho is a wonderful getaway and only about 80 miles from Spokane.  It features activities year around including music festivals, the arts, water activities in the summer and terrific snow skiing in the Winter time.  If you would like more information about anything going on up there, or if you would like me to refer you to an excellent real estate professional, I would be happy to help as always!  Maybe you need a good agent to help with a relocation in the Spokane area?  Don't hesitate to email me or give me a call!

it's a terrific feeling just being inside Cold Water Creek!
