Worst photo contest

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Austin Texas Homes, LLC 453249

I was planning to post some of the worst MLS photos that I have ever seen, but I also figured it might be fun to open it up for everyone to participate.  I am still hoping to make a larger post with lots of pictures, but here is one to get us started:

I found this one in another market while researching the value of a property that I inherited from my dad.  It's in the Corpus Christi area.  What were they actually trying to promote here?  The lack of central A/C, or the paneling, or the detached closet doors?

So BRING YOUR WORST PHOTOS and post them here.  Let's see how bad it can get.  I realize that this is probably not a completely original post, but I am truly curious.

EDITED: This is not a real contest, but simply a catchy headline.  Bring your terrible photos.

I see a lot of pictures I'd never have added to the MLS...Very dark pictures, multi-colored walls, 'unique' furnishings, soda and beer cans littering the tables etc.

Didn't read any of the others, but the first comment really sets the tone, doesn't it? : )

Liz - This is probably the best set of comments I have ever received.  There are some hilarious examples of bad photography here.

The "crooked house" in comment #206 almost made me fall off of my chair.  I cannot stop laughing.  It is unfortunately another reason why homeowners feel they can represent their home better than aome Realtors can.

This might be the best posting ever!  Great pictures.  Those look like they could be on my follow me fixer post  http://activerain.com/blogsview/1026254/REHAB-Fixer-part-2  However i wasn't selling mine in that condition!  LOL.

I know this thread is older but I had it bookmarked. Here's one I recently took at an otherwise beautiful home:

This was for a BPO, thank God not my listing. This is a short sale. I met the listing agent and she must be a heck of a Realtor because she appearantly managed to find a buyer for this mess! Oh, I almost forgot: there are 8 dogs in this house (tenant occupied), the smallest being a miniature ShiTsu, the biggest a giant great dane. Every single one of them barking!

Then there's this one:

I had been wondering for weeks just why the previous owner would build this additional room and forget to put in windows. I also wondered about the space-station type wall covering. Then it dawned on me........................IT'S A GROWHOUSE!

This is so funny...great post.  How about someone putting the "wrong" house in the MLS photo...when you go to show it you can't easily find the house.

I don't have the picture in the MLS, but I showed a home and a mental picture was burned into my skull.  We entered the home.  Did the typical, "Hello?  Anyone here?" all quiet so we proceeded with the showing.  After finishing the downstairs, we went upstairs and headed down the hallway.  The bathroom door opened, and a dude with a towel over his shoulder said, "Hey" and walked naked to his bedroom in front of us.

Jason-  I did not see the original post and so glad to see it this time around.  WOW they should have polished the wood first... all jokes aside that sure is one ugly wall unit and the unhung door needs to be removed from the pic.  Take care and keep up the great post.
