Carolyn Kolba -of Prudential Select Properties -in (Mentor, Ohio) sent me this wonderful quote by Max Planck, a nineteenth-century quantum physicist that will help you look for a paradigm shift.

He said: "When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at... change."

I love this quote and will add it to my journal. Do you know what a podcast is?

Yesterdays blog post titled: To get something you never had means you have to do something you never did . . . reminded me to REALIZE with my REAL eyes. (read the post)

For a number of years, I worked for Dr. Covey as a National Trainer teaching his 3 day intensive to corporate executives across the country highlighting his best-selling book: The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.  I am sure you read this years ago, ok, you read part of the book . . . but do you remember reading about paradigms

No, not a pair of dimes.  A paradigm is a frame around your beliefs about HOW THINGS ARE, or how you believe them to be.  To create a paradigm shift, you may have to REALIZE with your REAL eyes.

Since Carolyn from Mentor Ohio sent the above quote, it reminded me of my MENTOR of 22 years.

One day we were having a personal conversation as I had been praying for a healing in a personal relationship that was very important to me. My coach said: "Jane either the relationship will be healed and you will have a great relationship once again, OR, you will be removed from the experience.

Or as Plankc said: "When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at... change."   In a way, he described a healing, because when your body, your mind, your heart, your relationship to something or someone is healed, the way you see things, CHANGE.

I then wrote in my journal once again that I must realize with my real "tear filled" eyes that either there will be a healing [and I most certainly did my part by doing all that I could], or I would be removed from the experience.

I was removed from the experience

NO more would I be in relationship with this person ever again (no not a marriage partner).  I grieved, and I had to really work my journal only to realize that my LIFE was getting better and better SOLO and that my REAL eyes had distorted vision for a very long time. Wow, that is what it is like to be in the middle of a paradigm shift!  ONCE upon a time, things were a way that I grew up to believe they should be, and now I am upon a time that I have changed just about everything that I look at, and things are really different.   nuf about me...

How about you, have you ever had a major paradigm shift in your life where everything shift?

Why not re-blog this post? You may earn some AR points. Dr. Covey used to say that when we make small changes incrementally, it is like sharpening the saw.  Keeping the saw sharp allows you to move through the dense wood more precisely, and before you know it, you have a break-through. And have you noticed that there are people out there who do not work on their own personal development, they resist change at every turn, and they don't have break-throughs, they have break downs?  More on this topic on another post.

HEY, I am working on a cool paradigm shift professionally right now.  I am putting together a membership PODCAST that is about 15-minutes/day that you can download onto your computer or your Mp3 player.  Part of my posts will be motivational, part of my posts will be educational.   As I am doing my initial rollout at the end of September, it is going to be super duper cheap, so please subscribe to my Active Rain Blog, and I'll keep you posted.

Hey Scott, it appears that you know all about paradigm shifts with the Northridge earthquake that destroyed your residence in 1994. I was living in the MARINA in October 1989 and went through the SF earthquake.

On one day everything is one way, on the next it is completely different: that constitutes a major paradigm shift. Thanks for your comment. Blessed Be.
