Boulder Forest Fire Time Lapse Night Video

The time lapse video below of the Boulder Forest fire was shot Monday Night. In it you can see the span of the fire as the flames race over the mountainside. The small moving lights in the foreground are emergency vehicles navigating the mountain roads.

The Boulder County Emergency Services will meet with the Sheriff’s department, Fire Managers and other officials will at a community meeting at 7:30 pm this evening at Coor’s Field on Colorado University Campus. The rain has stopped and the fire is still not classified at any level of containment.

John,  Always hard to hear about fires over such large areas.  The destruction to the forest, homes and wildlife.  Looking at that video reminds me of seeing fires up close in Southern California when I lived there in the early 1990's near Laguna Beach.  It also makes me think of Dante's Inferno.  May they be contained real soon.

John, You are all in my thoughts, it is so difficult to watch that video, knowing the destruction in the fire's path.  Normally, I love fire- in the fireplace and campfires, it's mesmerizing, but this is just frightening.  Stay safe.
