On October 5th the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce together with the Southwest California Legislative Council will present the 2010 Legislative Summit - 'Reclaiming California'. As usual, the event promises to sell out the Pechanga Ballroom as we examine the issues confronting California today. I will be moderating the event and our focus will be on water & other natural resources, job creation and retention, environmental regulations & restrictions and growth vs. decline.
I will be joined on stage by Dan Walters, long-time political columnist for the Sacramento Bee. Dan has spent more than 40 years in the newspaper business and his work appears in more than 50 California newspapers plus the Wall Street Journal. Dan has moderated this event the past four years and his insight into California politics is unparalleled. It is safe to say that from his longtime post as observer of events in Sacramento, Dan knows more about what goes on in this state that any current legislator. More poeple trust Dan than trust Arnold at this point.
Also joining the panel is reknowned Relocation Coach Joe Vranich. Vranich's insights, gleaned from thousands of interview with businesses leaving California, have been widely published in the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, the New York Times and others. He has also appeared before Congress on numerous occasions discussing commercial enterprises and how to build a more business friendly economy.
