Great time today at the Social Media Marketing Camp!
I'm always looking for information about Facebook because I find it frustrating. Kerry has some good tips here that I'm going to try.
This is a reblog, and I always disable comments on reblogs so that you can click here to go directly to Kerry's blog and comment there.
A special thanks to Ross Hair and all of the presenters at today's SMM Camp!
The ideas were flying and I tried to write down (and digest) as much as I possibly could. Here are a few tips from the camp:
TIP #1 -- Create a Facebook page with a unique name -- not just "Kerry Lucasse, Realtor". Facebook is getting some good google juice these days, so it would be wise to align your page name with popular search queries. For example, I just created Atlanta Intown Neighborhoods. ** Please note that I don't have anything exciting posted there yet, but I'm finalizing my strategy and goals. :-)
TIP #2 - Customize your Facebook fan page. This is so important and I know that there are several people here on AR with a gorgeous, customized facebook page. It is well worth the money to create a professional, tech-savvy appearance.
TIP #3 - Import your listings onto your Facebook page, using the Realtor.com or Roost.com application. Both are FREE!
TIP #4 - Check out "Involver" on Facebook. They have several new applications for your Facebook page. I haven't had a moment to investigate, but it is on my list for tomorrow morning!
TIP #5 - PLEASE purchase Ross Hair's "Facebook for Real Estate Training" -- it is only $149 and I'm sure it will be money well spent! Visit: http://smmcamp.com/facebook
