Today is Thankful Monday for me. Typically here, we tend to have Thankful Thursday. Today, I turned "older". I'll never tell you how old, but I"m getting up there, lol.
I've been reflecting so much lately. I don't know if it is the change of seasons or aging. I am thankful for so many things and appreciate all that I have and the love that surrounds me.
I'm thankful for the crazy kitten that eats me alive. Smooch thinks I"m her personal chew toy. You know it's bad when you HIDE from a 3 lb. tiny kitten. Geeezzzz...I'm SCARED of her :)
I'm thankful for my tender hearted Golden Retriever rescue, Gus. Talk about a best friend. He loves unconditionally. I love this dog. I'm SO very thankful to have him. He too is scared of Smooch, with reason.
I'm thankful for 2 beautiful and healthy children. Both have very loving hearts...to me, that's enough. I hope they both change the world, like they have changed mine for the better.
This was taken on the day their adoption was final. What a very special day that was and always will be!
Today, they are ALL grown up. My son is now 23 and my daughter is 17. I really am one lucky Mom.
I"m thankful for my family. My Mother is aging rapidly and her health is less than stellar. I'm thankful for the time we spend together. I'm thankful that my sister and I get to enjoy her for as long as God has plans for her here!
I'm so thankful to have a wonderful husband and friend who loves me in spite of myself at times :)
I'm so very thankful for all of the wonderful years I had to spend with my best friend who was my Grandmother. I loved her so much and we really were best friends. I miss her so. I REALLY loved her so very very much. I was blessed to have her as a Grandmother. I hope I will be half the Grandmother to my future Grandchildren as she was to me.
I was so fortunate and I'm so thankful to have had a wonderful stepfather that loved me as his own. He was a wonderful man. This is a photo from the beach...He and my daughter would lay in bed and watch cartoons and laugh til their sides hurt...he was very much a family man. I was one lucky woman to have him in my life. I guess I love this photo because of the memories. I walked in to see Mom, daughter and Dad all laughing. Great memories.
I'm thankful that I have the the ability to recognize how truly blessed I am.
That's my life in a nutshell and I"m thankful for it! Have a wonderful Monday my friends.
