In case you missed the article in Thursday's Lancaster New Era home sales in Lancaster Co. are now down from not so robust 2009 figures for 4 consectutive months. Many AR bloggers have predicted that the months following the the post tax credit deadline of 4/30/10 would be lean. Here's a 5 year break down for the month of August:
2006 -582 sales 2007 -484 sales 2008 -370 sales
2009 - 467 sales 2010 - 338 sales
While most price ranges decreased ONE BRIGHT note was the increase in two important price ranges ,
$300,000 - $400,000 UP 15% !!!!!!!!!
$401,000 - $500,000 UP 33.3% !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are clearly at or very near the bottom, so hang in there and you'll be rewarded !!!!
