Positive Thought for Business Coaching

By
Real Estate Agent with Casa Latino Four Corners, REALTOR, CDPE

I just read someone's blog about his first coaching call in the business and I'm very happy for him.  Coaching is a great way to get started in the business of real estate and to jump-start your business if you find yourself getting in a rut.

The difference between a coach and a mentor, though, is very important.  A business coach is someone who will discuss with you your business, help you to tweak it, motivate you, re-motivate you, and help keep you accountable.  A business mentor is someone who does all that but has also done it themselves; they have already been what you are going through and are already where you want to be.

So, make sure that when you hire a business coach, that you really get a business mentor because their special insight makes all the difference.

I am a Certified Mentor and I am Coached by Buffini and Company.  In my role of Mentoring agents, I do not coach, but guide and suggest.  It is a bit easier to Mentor.  I love to help people, but, could not have the time to coach, nor am I certified as a Coach.  It is really a full time job. It takes more in-depth training than the mentoring.  I became certified as a Mentor, once I opened my own brokerage, so that, I could help my agents with their real estate careers the right way.  It's an amazing process.
