Coral Springs Chamber of Commerce Has Lost a Great Friend

This is a email I received this evening and needed to share with my friend of Active Rain.

Cindy Brief is the president of the Coral Springs Chamber of Commerce. She is an outstanding leader and is always a pleasure, always has a kind word for everyone she comes in contact.

Last week she suddenly lost her husband. I personally was at a lost of how to describe my sadness for her and her children. But tonight's email. my thought was to share this email with you so you may keep her and her children in pray. Grieving and healing is a long process and needs the support of many. You may not know Cindy, but tonight I have a prayer request to ask you to remember her and her children in your prayers for her and the children's comfort.

The following is the email I received this evening:

Dear Friends:

On September 18th, the Coral Springs Chamber of Commerce lost a great friend.   Ken Brief, husband of Cindy, and father to Jessica and Josh, passed away suddenly at their home.  The official cause of death was a massive heart attack. They had spent a wonderful day together organizing their office and spending time together when Ken suddenly felt ill.  Within moments he passed out and was not able to be revived.  Ken had no prior heart problems and was strong and happy that day. There was no warning.

Cindy, Jessica and Josh are doing as well as can be expected and want to express their most heartfelt gratitude to all who have reached out to them during this difficult time.

It is our hope that this will answer some of your questions and allow Cindy and her children to grieve and begin the very long healing process.

Our Chamber is strong and will continue to be strong.  Debbie, Ann and Mona will keep the Chamber running as usual until Cindy is able to return.  We hope that by answering some of your questions, they will be able to carry on without too much interruption.

We know many of you are grieving as well but we need to be strong for Cindy and her family.

Make the most of the precious time we have with our friends and family.

Sincerely,

Board of Directors

With this email my wish is that we all remember to love each day as if it were our last.

Oh, Linda, how very sad.  I can only imagine what Ken's family is going through at this time.

I will keep them in my prayers.  And Roger is right; they are so lucky to have a friend like you.

God bless.
