Squeezing the most life out of every blessed day with the shutter button!

Fall color in Newnan GeorgiaWe are all very busy, and there are times when tunnel vision blinds us to what is happening in our most frequented surroundings.

When I was driving to the office this morning, I happened by this fountain which was gushing forth spouts of white water which were contrasted by the fall leaves in the background.

So despite my hectic schedule, I stopped to take a proper photo of the scene. And I’m really glad that I did.

Sometimes we let these little opportunities slip by unnoticed, never to occur again.

And it would have been a shame to have missed this chance to preserve something beautiful!

Richard - What an incredible photo!!!!    I took a few today, myself!   The day was so clear and crisp here in CT with the deepest blue sky.   Love your foamy spouts.

Richard, Beautiful contrast and color saturation in that photo.  I usually carry two cameras in my purse (small ones), but the other day I was driving by an unbelievable sunset and didn't have them with me (batteries were recharging at home), so I pulled out my very old Treo smartphone and took a photo and put it up on my blog.  I agree, life is too short to let moments like this pass without stopping to enjoy.  Photography makes us stop a moment and smell the roses.

Hi Richard, It would have been a loss indeed. There is something about the beginning of each our seasons that beckon us to capture the moment, for forever it is not to be seen again exactly that way. Thankfully their are more and more that listen to that call. Well done!

This is a beautiful pic and indeed rare. I had a picture from a few years ago. The trees formed ice in Michigan and looked like a winter wonderland.  I took the pic with my cell phone which I later dropped in water. Unfortunately, I was unable to recover the pictures I'd taken.

Thanks for sharing this.

That is such a great photo - the bits of sun here and there make it so dramatic!  We finally have the color in Connecticut; hopefully it will last for a week or so!

Hello Richard.  I'm glad you stopped.  We all need to take time to "smell the roses" or snap the shots.

Great photo.  I was out the other day taking photos of a listing and decided while I was there to take several shots of the golf course surrounding it to use in a post.  This is a great time of year to get out and take photos for blogs at least in SC.  It is cooler, the leaves are starting to change and it is just a fun way to spend some time with my family.
