46 Comments on Two Truths and A Lie: Guess which one is the Lie?! This week's featured member - Rose Osman
#1 for me.
I'm going to have to say #3,
I'm going with #1.
I too will go with #2.
Going with #1
Trying to keep my perfect "never guessed right" streak going....I'm guessing #1.
@Karen ... you are so funny. Believe Karen ... believe you can guess it right!
I say #3 is the lie -
This is tough.. My guess is number 1 ...
My guess is #2 is a lie.
I am going with # 3 this week. This may have happened :( but I think Rose would have had her seat belt on.
I'm waiting. Patience is not one of my virtues.
OK, here we go! I had a blast reading through your guesses, very interesting to see how some of you rationalized your answers based on my bio and my assumed British sensibilities!
#2 is true and refers to a client who drove me absolutely NUTS, e-mailing and calling me an average of 10 times a day. I had her home listed while helping her find a home to move to but she was so unrealistic in her search that I finally told her very nicely that I was unable to help and suggested she find another realtor. We stayed friendly and about four months later, she called to say she realized she'd been unreasonable and wanted to compensate me for my time. She asked her new agent (who was representing her on the sale and purchase) to pay me a referral fee of $10,000 and this was done through my broker, legally and above board. I still can't believe this happened.
#3 is true also. Back in the mid-eighties, I lived in the Algarve, the coastal region of Portugal. Returning from a late night out, my (soon to be ex) boyfriend was at the wheel and was driving too fast on a winding road when he lost control of the car. It hit the curb, popped a tire and the car careened out of control, rolling several times and ending up in an open field. Although neither of us were wearing seatbelts (this was before they were mandatory), we walked away with minor scrapes and bruises. Oh, did I mention that it was a convertible? Thank goodness for roll bars, that's all I can say.
The lie is ... #1! Although I'm a Londoner, I've never even visited 10 Downing Street, the official residence of the British Prime Minister.
Thanks everyone, for playing, and thank you, Ralphie, for organizing this fun game!
OK, Gang.
That's it for the guesses this week.
Feel free to continue posting your fun comments, but any posts after this point do not count toward guessing this week's mystery.
October is an odd month, and we will actually have 5 posts for this month's contest.
Watch for the next "2 Truths and A Lie" post on Sunday!
Oh my gosh ... I had a feeling that there was more to # 2 ... thanks for explaining it in so much detail. Whew ... a legitimate referral fee ... "after another agent sold her home." Makes perfect sense! I love they way you put a twist on that!
Finally I got my mo joe back.
I am just too good at this. Tammy is just lucky.
Wow....this is the very first time I've guessed right. I'm so excited! Yahoo!
My record here demonstrates for all of you why I do not gamble.
Oh, man. But I have one more week to get at least one more right...
