We Have the Best Neighbors....

Amy Hahn wrote this blog about OUR neighbors.  We happen to have our office right next door to our emergency teams and as a result, we have a close "family" relationship with them.  If you don't have the privilege of seeing yours everyday, they're still there.  I'm thinking Amy's ideas of cookies or brownies could be an ACTIVE RAIN tribute to our emergency teams.  Proud to re-blog.

We have the best Neighbors....

Pine Knoll Shores Fire Department

My office just happens to be right next door to the Pine Knoll Shores Fire/EMS/Police Emergency Team.  We are often the first to know about a fire, a car accident, etc. as they rush out of the parking lot with the sound of sirens filling the air.  Yesterday, as I left the office, tired & grumpy, I looked up to see our local heroes training and running drills and it was a beautiful sight!  At that moment, Our Local Heroes touched my heart and didn't even know it!

I wonder if they have any idea how much we appreciate all that they do!  I think some cookies and a note are in order....

Good neighbors can make all the difference in the world.

Most of us only realise this after we have Bad neighbors.

Marian:  Whenever we can let these wonderful men and women know just how much we appreciate them... well, that is a gift to them, and to us as well.  Time very well spent.  They are so often overlooked... and we really need to let them know how much they mean to us.
