Pay it Forward to a Client
Sometimes I think my clients assume that this is part of my job. I love to help if I can ....
My client did not have a lot of money left over when she finished purchasing her home (I know, always have a slush fund... ). Her landscaping was bare minimum at the best. Another client from the month before had too much fabulous landscaping, and was allergic to most of it. -- When we went out to discuss it, she was wearing plastic cleaning gloves to protect herself ...
I could see that the two of them were a match made in heaven, but neither knew anything about gardening. So, I got my shovel and tarps out, and dug up the excess at client #1's house, and took them over to client #2's house and planted them. They did not know what to say - perhaps it made them feel a little awkward - but I know that they both have fabulous landscaping now, and it'll be easy for them to care for. I will have to remember to teach them the care part next spring....
