Daylight Savings Time Starts Today.....At Least Your Car Might Think So

When you get in your car today, you might want to check the time on your clock.  Many cars mistakenly set time back one hour this morning.  Why is that some might wonder? 

From 1987 through 2006, the beginning and ending dates for DST were the first Sunday in April and the last Sunday in October.  Beginning in 2007, most of the United State and Canada changed their observances dates for Daylight Savings Time.  With the Energy Policy Act of 2005, DST was changed.  Since then, DST starts the second Sunday in March and runs until the first Sunday in November.

If you car is more than 3 years old, then you might encounter this premature change.  You can then decide to live with it for the next week or to go ahead and change it.  If you do change it today, then don't forget to re-set the clock next week with DST actually does take effect on Sunday, November 7, 2010.

Thanks for the reminder! I would be so screwed up if my clock was the wrong time for a week! I wouldn't be able to get anything done on time or would I be done early? I don't know!!
