I thought about calling this series Staging "Duh" tips, because they seem so obvious. Unfortunately, I see these everyday. It's hard to assess your whole house, and frankly it's overwhelming for a seller. That's why it's always a good idea to get another opinion, and a professional home stager will be worth their weight in Gold in this process. When selling your home, we all know everything should sparkle and shine...right? Of course, so don't forget about the appliances. Buyers will look, especially if the appliances are included with the sale of the home. So of course, they want to see what they are getting. Clean the microwave. The oven, (if not a self-cleaning oven, use Easy Off...be sure to take grates out first). The refrigerator, remove everything, and give the inside of your fridge a great cleaning, throw out anything that hasn't been used in a year, or that is growing fur, or has turned a different color from it's original shade. The Stove, depending on the type of stove you have, you may be able to use Easy off, or elbow grease. Either way, a dirty stove is a major turn off for buyers. Don't forget to clean the outside of the appliances too, the handles, and top of the fridge. If you have other appliances that will be sold with the property, clean them as well. ~More Home Staging Tips From A Home Stager Here~
