I thought about calling this series Staging "Duh" tips, because they seem so obvious. Unfortunately, I see these everyday. It's hard to assess your whole house, and frankly it's overwhelming for a seller. That's why it's always a good idea to get another opinion, and a professional home stager will be worth their weight in Gold in this process.
Clean the outside of your cabinets in the kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room or wherever else you may have them. This is time consuming, and will take some elbow grease, but worth it.
If the cabinets are wood, use a cleaner for wood like Orange Glo Wood Cleaner, Murphy Oil Soap or any degreaser type cleaner, if painted you can use the same another good one is Simple Green. You can also fill in scratches with Old English Polish if they are wood cabinets. Don't use an abrasive rag or scrubber, a cloth or paper towels should work.
This will cut the crude and make them look clean, shiny and new!
