Kids have more than just homework to worry about when it comes to learning.
Many worry about problems at home, and many are petrified of being hurt badly by bullies.
Students Taking A Right Stand, or STARS, will conduct a workshop on bullying prevention - Bullying Exposed: Harassment, Bullying or Criminal Behavior? - at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 2419 Bethlehem Loop Road, in the Grassland community north of Franklin TN.
The free workshop will have one session for parents and one for students.
Gov. Phil Bredesen has proclaimed Nov. 14-20 as Bullying Awareness Week in Tennessee.
STARS, founded in 1984, serves more than 70 schools and community sites within a 10-county area, helping students tackle tough social issues such as cyber-bullying, substance abuse, violence and peer pressure.
