31 Days of December Challenge - Day Eight

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Indianapolis Metro NE RB14023803

Every year around this time, real estate companies put their recruiting efforts into high gear.  I do not always agree to talk to other companies because I am very happy where I am.  I don't want to waste their time or my time.  However, if I were to jump ship, I am pretty sure where I would land so I usually agree to hear what that company has to say.  I guess I am looking for something new that I haven’t heard before.

Day eight

1)     I planned to meet for about an hour with a recruiter from one of the top companies in Indiana.  The hour long meeting very quickly turned into four hours!  The gentleman I spoke with knew what he was doing.  I learned some things about myself and I took away lots of great ideas for my business next year.  This was definitely time well spent.  It pays to keep an open mind.Decision Making

We have two more meetings scheduled.  The goal is to continue to explore possibilities.  I may have some decisions to make at the end of it all, but for now I am satisfied with the give and take and sharing of ideas!

2)    Listing appointment at the end of the day.  Surprising to me that a seller would want to list a few weeks before the holidays, but I am not going to argue---after all, we are now working on next year’s business!!

Lee and Carol--Needless to say, I did not get a whole bunch done the rest of the day!!

Tammy--Hmmm, maybe, but more likely the gold star will come when I get it sold!!

Pat, this is probably a good time to talk to a company if you have ANY plans of changing companies.     I know opening my own last year, was a FABULOUS decision, and have regretted it!    Good luck, will be watching to see your decision!     Listing this time of year is a little different - but I have a listing over the weekend too!   With less buyers viewing, the ones out right now, are serious, so hope you have a quick sale!

Joan--I always said my next step would probably be to open my own.  Most companies in my area take around $30,000 when it is all said and done---just for the affiliation.  Hearing you say FABULOUS in all caps is now going to make me start thinking in that direction again.  I am not getting any younger and I have had my broker's license for years.  And what is it our companies give us for all of that money? Hmmmmm......

Hi Pat, I've been called by a few companies but I haven't accepted any invitations, just don't have the time (although I have to admit that I am curious about other companies).
