The 2nd show we saw was the Cirque Show "Mystere". For any of the shows you see you have to pick the tickets up at the box office where the show is to be seen. This particular show is at the Treasure Island Casino which was at the other end of the strip from where we were staying. I have never seen a Cirque Du Soleil show and have always wanted to so I was quite excited about finally being able to go.
When we arrived there were people in costumes taking the tickets and the inside of the theater was just beautiful. Again no cameras or video of any kind was allowed.
"Mystere" is one of the most popular of the Cirque shows in Las Vegas. It first opened in 1993 and runs 5 nights a week all year long. The show is a combination of various types of acrobats in "death defying" feats. It is the perfect show for the whole family running approximately 90 minutes and has been seen by over 9 million people. The stage is 120 feet by 70 feet and is controlled by four moving lifts with an audio system of 78 speakers using custom software having 94,700 watts of power.
The act begins in the audience and is extremely funny before they get down to the serious business of the acrobats performance. I loved it and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Every time I get to Las Vegas, I just wander around in awe, in a daze, at everything.
Fabulous show Debbie, one that will stay in the memories for a very long time!
