I found this ad, through James Dray, of Exit Realty... Thanks James. This is an ad, currently running in Australia, but important enough, in my opinion, that something like it should be running daily, here in the U.S. Especially around the holiday season, and as we approach New Year's when alcohol and driving mix so very poorly.

It's fairly graphic, but steel yourself, and watch it through to the end. It's a little over five minutes of discomfort to watch, and who knows how much pain it might prevent. Possibly for you, and for some other unknown people.

Alan, that is a video which should be shown everywhere...colleges, work places...Very scary and upsetting to watch. The truth is whether you don't drink at all, or only drink at home, we are all affected by the people who do drink and drive.

B'Liz - no question... it should make us stop and think.

Nina - no matter how well we handle ourselves, there are others on the road with us. And don't miss the fact that this video touched on pills and marijuana as well as alcohol. Anything that might impair your reaction time, or reason.

Thanks, Alan. A reminder needed that driving here during the Christmas period has the added hazzards of ice and snow. Driving and alcohol certainly don"t mix.

Alan, that was horrible.. I mean in a graphic way. I agree with you, something like this should also be airing here in Canada as well. Thanks for sharing, the message needs to be reminded to all those out there that their careless decisons may aslo impact others.

Larry - Driving and any kind of thought impairment don't mix.

Myhang - "horrible" a good term for it. You just can't help but put yourself in the shoes of those receiving the bad news.

Wow. Sobering to say the least. That was devastating to watch. We always have a designated driver when we go out with the girls and I always make a point of mentioning it to my sons so they realize, that you just can't every drink and drive. Never. Never. Never.
